In the recent years,mobile learning has caught wide public concerns from educational scholars all over the world.Centering on individual student,the mobile learning can cater for their individualized learning demands and further furnish students and teachers with an excellent resources platform for interpreting learning and teaching.With the wide popularity of mobile device and rapid progress of mobile network,Weibo has become an indispensable application in China especially for young generations.Its three main functions,namely interactive function,Weibo live streaming function,resources searching function and other interface functions,are approaches to resolving insufficient communication,unsatisfied practice intensity as well as enhance students'participation in class.First,practice is the best way to improve interpretation.However,some traditional interpretation classes pay too much attention to the teaching of interpretation skills,but to some extent neglect skill training.With the passage of time,it's hard for students to improve their interpretation skills.Second,in traditional interpretation classes,as the class hours are limited and the teachers have to push forward the teaching progress according to the syllabus and teaching plan,the time left for students to practice is far from enough.Therefore,insufficient practice is also a problem in traditional interpretation classroom teaching.Third,as there is limited training time in class,the time students are given to express is limited,there are few chances for teachers to guide and correct students' during the training.Apart from insufficient interaction between teachers and students in class,students also cannot gain instant guidance and feedback from teachers while completing training on their own.Naturally,the effect of traditional interpretation classroom teaching will be greatly reduced.Above mentioned problems can be handled to a certain extent by the instant interactive and resources searching function of mobile learning.Free from region restrictions,the Weibo-based interpreting learning platform can also break the limitation of time,thereby assisting traditional teaching mode and strengthening interaction and resources sharing.Notably,apart from improving students' comprehensive interpretation skills and abilities,the platform can be also helpful for teachers'broadening the depth and breadth of interpreting research and accumulating research data.As a teaching assistant,I helped the teacher who is in charge of the teaching of interpreting in College of Science and Technology Xinjiang Agricultural University for four months.By a semester of empirical experiment and analysis,a detailed summary was made on Weibo with its powerful interactive function,resources searching function and live streaming function.This translation experiment consists of four steps:first,select two classes(of same major,same grade and same teacher)to attend a strict interpreting test,classify and store all the data and questionnaire results for comparison with the following experimental results;second,take one of the classes as the experimental group,and use Weibo-based platform to help and coordinate face-to-face teaching class,so as to enhance teacher-student interaction and help students solve the problems in interpretation learning;take the other group as the control group that doesn't involve in any other supporting experiments except normal interpreting courses,but the learning time and task of the control group is same as the experimental class;third,assess this translation experiment through the final interpreting score and questionnaire analysis;finally,compare the results before experiment and after experiment,and comprehensively evaluate their studying efficiency and performance,feasibility and operability of Weibo as an interpreting learning platform.On the basis of experiment,a result is acquired that although the interpreting teaching platform based on Weibo is very far from replacing traditional teaching,it can be a good supplement and can settle the problems of interactions and practice to some extent and can enhance the student's participation in the class and improve their interpretation ability.
