An Experimental Report On The Translation Of News Texts

This thesis is about the translation of China market current situation written by the Shangri-La the Marina Hotel Cairns.The author discusses the solutions by analyzing the difficulties in specific cases in the translation process.In this thesis,the introduction part analyzes the whole understanding of content,the text characteristics and other aspects.Pre-translation part collects the background knowledge related to this field.Then the difficulties encountered in the translation process are analyzed with specific examples,such as title translation,abbreviations translation and other aspects.Last,the corresponding solutions are provided.After the translation,the reflection points out the shortages in this translation process hoping to provide lessons for future translation studies.Through the reflection of case analysis and the translation process,this report concludes that the translation process is a systematic process,each of which is essential.The improvement of translator's quality and sufficient background information will significantly promote the translation quality,the subsequent reflection will also be helpful to future translation.Translation still leave a long way to go,thus,a qualified translator needs to improve themselves and master multiple knowledges and skills in order to show the original style perfectly.
