The history of silkscreen printing is the shortest compared with that of other versions.Although it has only three or forty years of history in China, its development is the fastest. The unique color expression of silkscreen printing is determined by its unique color superimposition and overprinting way.In the color expression of the traditional painting,it is basically displayed on the canvas or drawing paper through the blending of colors, mostly in the form of color block distribution. It is a transparent and opaque color effect formed through the infiltration and overlapping between the pigment and the screen printing plate.Like the interlacing between light and shadow, the overlapping and printing of color can extend the diversity and sense of hierarchy of color. This way of expression endows the color language of silkscreen printing with more functions, more possibilities and more continuity. The expression of color superimposition is endowed with occasionality and creativity, which makes the creation process full of challenge and passion. It is necessary to master the change of color in the technical research method, and express the idea, emotion and works form of the author by making full use of the creative experience of color superimposition, which is a problem to be solved and considered in the research. The author is involved in practice from some aspects such as the characteristics of pigment, the choice of printing materials and the technique of creation to provide the technical assistance for the presentation of works and realize the idea of works.Color superimposition plays an important role in the development of silkscreen printing. It is a form of expression worthy of research and popularization. In unique color language,it interprets the depth of thinking and emotional direction of artists and promote the development of printmaking.
