Ageless Shanghai:the New Shanghai Writing By Taiwan Writers

Shanghai fever has been set off in Taiwan since 2000,and a number of new Shanghai-writings emerged in Taiwan.However,when researchers are currently exploring the Shanghai-writing in Taiwanese literature,most of them focus on the old Shanghai-writing.The focus on the new Shanghai-writing is indeed a minority.There-fore,this article attempts to systematically sort out the new Shanghai-writings,in order to pry into the appearance of the new Shanghai in the eyes of Taiwan writers and to pry into the emotion of Taiwan writers.In order to expand the research on the new Shanghai-writings,this article attempts to dig out new materials about new Shanghai-writing,and some of the contents try to use the Identity Theory and Cultural Geography to discover new contents and new ideas written by Taiwan writers in the new Shanghai-writing.Taiwan writers’ old Shanghai-writing mainly included Shanghai-writing during the Japanese Occupation and the Shanghai-writing of writers relocating to Taiwan.T-hese old Shanghai-writings created a unique Shanghai memory in Taiwan and formed a strong Shanghai complex.This Shanghai complex continues into the new Shanghai-writing field of Taiwan writers.In the fields of prose and fiction,Taiwan writers continue to write stories of new Shanghai.By analyzing these new Shanghai-writings,I discovered that Taiwan writers stood in the perspective of urban wanderers or immigrants to build a unique landscape and memory of contemporary Shanghai,to pay attention to the life conditions and identity of Taiwanese living in Shanghai,and to put forward unique views on Shanghai’s social status and future prospects.The wri-ting of Taiwan writers on the appearance of contemporary Shanghai and on Taiwanese living in Shanghai is a unique part of Taiwanese literature history because it not only reflects the unique appearance of Shanghai after the reform and opening up,but also leaves a literary image for the Taiwanese living in Shanghai.Therefore,studying the writing of the new Shanghai written by the Taiwan writers can not only dig deeper into the new Shanghai-writing of contemporary Taiwanese literature,but also can further reflect on the method of cultural integration across the Taiwan Strait through the recognition of the cultural identity of the Taiwanese in Shanghai.In addition,from the continuous Shanghai-writing themes in Taiwanese literature,we can see that Shanghai-writing has continued and will not disappear.
