A Study On The Belief In Guanyin In The Coastal Areas Of Zhejiang In The Ming And Qing Dynasties

Guanyin Belief is one of the most popular folk beliefs among the Chinese folk and is typified by the coastal areas of Zhejiang.After the introduction of Guanyin Belief to the Zhejiang coast,it was deified with sea-god in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,combined with the content of the traditional Guanyin Belief,it has an important influence on the social and cultural Zhejiang coast.This paper mainly studies the specific performance and characteristics of the Guanyin Belief in the marine environment,observes the status of Guanyin Belief in the coastal society of Zhejiang,and discuss the characteristics of the Guanyin Belief under the influence of the marine environment along the coast of Zhejiang and its influence on the social and cultural coast of Zhejiang by analyzing the sea-god deification of Guanyin Belief in Zhejiang coast,the connotation and characteristics of Guanyin Belief in different coastal areas of Zhejiang,the structure and relationship of Guanyin Belief group,and the relationship between Guanyin Belief and Zhejiang local social culture.After the introduction of Guanyin Belief into the coastal areas of Zhejiang,the evolution trend of sea-god deification began to appear,which can be divided into the three stages of the period of the Wei and Jin Dynasties,the Tang and Song Dynasties,and the Ming and Qing Dynasties,and it is finally completed in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.The sea-god deification of Guanyin Belief extended the content of the traditional Guanyin Belief and entered the belief system of the sea-god,and combined with the content of traditional Guanyin Belief in Zhejiang coast,forming a regional pattern situation of tripartite confrontation in North Zhejiang,Southeast Zhejiang,and East Zhejiang.The Guanyin Beliefs in the three regions are centered on Tianzhu,Tiantai and Putuo,respectively.In the basic content and form of expression,there are both internal connecting link and different characteristics.In addition,the group that believes in Guanyin covers all classes of society.The government has adopted a policy of support and control in accordance with the Guanyin Belief,and has carried out a certain degree of interaction and game with the folk Guanyin Congregation in the coastal areas of Zhejiang.In the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the Guanyin Belief was rooted in the Zhejiang coast and had a close connection with the social and cultural coast of Zhejiang,which is the symbol of the awakening of the ocean consciousness and the spirit of the sea on the coast of Zhejiang,also an important part of the marine defense culture in the coastal areas of Zhejiang,it also provides high-quality materials for the literary creation in this area,and profoundly affects the local social culture in Zhejiang coastal area,which is practical,open and pluralistic.
