| Moralizing-education with its core idea of Confucianism is a basic strategy for running the state in the West Han Dynasty.After being reformed by Dong Zhongshu,the “New Confucianism” strengthened the hierarchy of the feudal state and safeguarded the interests of feudal rulers in terms of politics.In the aspect of value,the “New Confucianism” was also recognized and supported by the public.In this thesis,Confucian moralizing-education was discussed on the basis of its development in the West Han Dynasty in the following three aspects.First of all,after analyzing the historical background of the generation of Confucian moralizing-education in the West Han Dynasty,This paper tried to explain the reason for its establishment in terms of economy,politics,and culture.Moreover,this paper explored the theoretical foundation by introducing the thought of Confucius,Mencius and Xunzi in the early Qin Dynasty and that of Lu Jia and Jia Yi in the Han Dynasty,in which process the contribution of Dong Zhongshu’s thought was emphasized.Apart from that,this paper,according to the historical background,also illustrated that it is a certainty for Confucianism to become the core idea of moralizing-education in the Han Dynasty.Secondly,this paper generally organized the system of Confucian moralizing-education in the West Han Dynasty,and made a brief summary by focusing on the purpose,content,target,and path of moralizing-education.At last,the positive effect and historical limitation of moralizingeducation in the West Han Dynasty were evaluated on the basis of its features.With the analysis of the whole process of moralizing-education in the West Han Dynasty,This paper summarized its enlightenment to our work in the domain of ideology and Socialist Core Values. |
