| JiaoMo painting has a long history.As an important branch of traditional Chinese painting,JiaoMo painting exhibits its particular value and characteristic in the technique it adopts and the aesthetic form it takes.There is no doubt that nowadays JiaoMo painting still enjoys an irreplaceable status in the Chinese painting system.This paper first summarizes the existing literature on JiaoMo painting,with particular focus on its calligraphic style,ink structure,and the development path in Chinese painting.The calligraphic style of JiaoMo painting can be described as both withered and humid,as the wind in the fall,dry yet felling like rain in the spring.The study of the aesthetic form of JiaoMo painting should be based on the JiaoMo artists and their works.Due to the distinction of aesthetic forms between old and modern times,this paper discusses four representative painters.They are all famous in JiaoMo painting,but differ in their works.Cheng Sui favors lofty scenery,Dai Benxiao loves quietness and comfort,Huang Binhong prefers heaviness,and Zhang Ding adores primitive crudity.The study of these four painters has been very enlightening to me."Dig into the life and imitate nature." This is the key to Chinese painting.We should observe the nature,be guided by the predecessors' experiences,adopt the techniques of JiaoMo painting in our work,use different calligraphic styles for different objects,all of which have proven very important in my work.The analysis of the calligraphic style and aesthetic form of JiaoMo painting as well as the adoption of its technique is to better serve my thesis work.My graduation works are "better homes" and "the lonely nights",both inspired by the scenery of Lushan Mountain.I learned a lot during the process,from selecting the topic,framing the idea,to the detailed designing and painting.I not only systematically learned and used the skills of JiaoMo painting but also improved my professional ability.I hope to create more meaning works in the future. |
