Jin Yucheng's novel Flowers has been praised and sold well since its inception,and has repeatedly won the Mao Dun Literature Award,the Shi Naian Literature Award and other important literary awards.This research takes the Shanghai narrative of Flowers as the object of study,and analyzes what kind of contents,language,structure,emotion and value judgment does the writer uses to present the image of Shanghai in his heart.The thesis is divided into three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction introduces Jin Yucheng's masterpiece Flowers and its relevant researches,and gives a general view of the writing tradition and style of Shanghai narrative,and on this basis,explains the value and research methods of this topic.The main body part consists of three chapters.From a spatial perspective,the first chapter demonstrates the scenario reduction of Flowers to Shanghai urban ecology from the perspective of urban landscapes,life scenes and local languages.In the second chapter,from the perspective of time,Jin Yucheng adopts dual narrative structure,and at the same time when presenting distinctive text characteristic and time consciousness,he also shows the historical dimension of Shanghai citizens' life in the crossover of the power narrative in the sixties and seventies and the desire narrative in the nineties.The third chapter deeply excavates the writer's narrative theme and creation idea from the perspective of urban culture spirit,urban citizen belief and modern human survival dilemma.The conclusion part is the overall evaluation of the novel Flowers: Flowers adds new symbolic texts to Shanghai narrative,inherits and enriches the tradition of Shanghai narrative.Jin Yucheng focuses on the deep depiction of the desires and humanity of modern humans,which established a museum of human relations with Shanghai,and broadens the expression space and aesthetic space of Chinese contemporary literature.
