As the English Curriculum Standard of High School(2017 edition)points out that English curriculum of high school is basic cultural course which develops the core literacy of English subject and it aims to lay a good foundation for students to further English study and lifelong development to develop the thought and to promote the life development of the students.Deep teaching concept advocates that teaching ranges from the symbolic knowledge to deep meaning.However,the phenomenon that "English teaching is to transfer the basic knowledge" is still widespread in the high school.That"duck-stuffing" or "cramming" teaching emphasizes on superficial knowledge too much and ignores deep significance.Therefore,this kind of teaching is shallow and superficial,and it is not conducive to the development of the students.Therefore,it is necessary to teach English from the surface to the depth and carry out the Deep English Classroom Teaching of Senior High School.This research discusses mainly from two aspects:the first aspect is the theory,which introduces the Deep English Teaching of the High School,its features,significance and values;the second aspect is about the practice,which discusses the study of the current teaching statutes and how to carry out the deep English teaching in high school.This article discusses from the six parts in specific:The introduction part firstly introduces the reasons of choosing the topic;secondly,this part expounds research content and significance;thirdly it discusses the completed research at home and abroad about the deep teaching;lastly is the research method.The first part firstly simply analyzes the deep teaching concept;and then analyzes the connotation,basic characteristics and the significance of deep English teaching in the high school.The second part:according to the depth of teaching concept and the nature of the English subject,this part analyzes the three layers of values of the deep English teaching in the high school,namely the pursuit of reality aiming at the basic knowledge;quality pursuit to make students master the process and method of learning;and developmental pursuit to let students acquire the deep meaning of knowledge,realize self-growth and develop life wisdom.The third part discusses the current situation of the implementation of the high school English teaching and the reasons causing the problems.Mainly through the methods of classroom observation,case research and teacher interview,this part also analyzes the present problems of high school English teaching,and summarizes the reasons.The fourth part:based on the current situation,this part analyzes the basis and conditions of the implementation of deep English teaching in the high school.The last part discusses the strategies of English deep teaching in high school including the content deep integration strategy,scene creation strategy,problem strategy and the activities strategy,etc.
