A Report On The Translation Of An Exploration Of Human Resource Personnel And Toxic Leadership

This dissertation is a report based on an English-Chinese Translation.The original text is an excerpt from a doctoral dissertation An Exploration of Human Resource Personnel and Toxic Leadership of Walden University by Sabrina Michele Maxwell.The dissertation is a breakthrough in the traditional management research about the toxic leadership.Besides exploring the relationship between toxic leaders and the followers,this dissertation also from the perspectives of Human Resources managers discusses how to manage the conflicts created by toxic leaders in order to improve the efficiency of the internal and external works and create a positive work environment for all the employees.Translating this dissertation will contribute to providing guidelines for improving weak awareness of management,disordered management systems of Chinese enterprises.This report consists of three parts: the task description,the adopted translation theories and translation process.The first part introduces the source of the translation material and its content.The second part illustrates the translation theories adopted throughout translation process which is Contrastive Studies of English and Chinese.Comparing the differences between English and Chinese enables the translator to better understand both the languages and their characteristics.How to make the translation work approach as close as possible to the original text is discussed in this report.The last part is about the translation process which includes the preparation,case analysis and work reviewing.
