Comparative Research On Definitions Variations Of Shuo-wen(????)in The Kangxi Dictionary(??????)

The"Kangxi Dictionary(??????)"is an ancient Chinese language dictionary compiled by the great masters of ancient China.It has a wide range of characters,a rich phonetic system and comprehensive interpretation.It will have a profound effect on future generations."Kangxi Dictionary(??????)"not only has important value in terms of words,phonology,exegesis,etc.,but also has an abundance of citations to previous generations of literature.It is a treasure house for the study of philology and Chinese history.Among them,the"Kangxi Dictionary(??????)"quoted the"Shuo Wen(????)"interpretation material is a rich language and literature historical data.There are a large number of different text phenomena with the present size of Xu Ben's"Shuo Wen(????)",a systematic investigation,also has the resources to promote the study of literature and rich content with the history of dictionaries.Constrained by time,this article focuses on a comprehensive survey of the interpretation of the texts in the"Shuowen(????)"cited in the four volumes of Zi,Chou,Yin and Mao,and obtains the following shallow ideas and directions worthy of subsequent investigation:First,through the study of the"Shuo Wen(????)"quoted in the Kangxi Dictionary's four volumes of Zi,Chou,Yin and Mao,a total of 2,553 prefixes were interpreted.The results showed that there were 1,805 identical interpretations has basically the same interpretation compared with Kangxi Dictionary and 304 has different expressions.According to statistics,there are about 82.6%of the total number of people who do not have a large number of interpretations.It can be seen that the degree of agreement and credibility of the cited part of the“Dictionary(????)”and the“Shuowen(????)”are quite high.Second,the textual research of the interpretation of the cited“Shuo Wen(????)”:1.There are 23 prefixes in the interpretation of the“Shuo Wen(????)”in the“Dictionary(????)”four sets.There are phenomena in the literal interpretation of the script,and most of them are the same as the interpretation of the ancient books and the script.2.The 26 different texts in the explanations have been verified by many people as the mistakes made by the present grand master Xu Ben,and the interpretations of Ji Guben and the engraved script are more credible.3.There are also 34 prefixes in the interpretation of“Shuo Wen”cited in the“Dictionary(????)”four set of texts.It was verified that the“Dictionary(????)”was wrong,it was either taken off or extended,or it directly led to the mistakes of Xiao Xuben and many more.4.The other 25 prefixes are the"Dictionaries(????)"and the interpretations of the major and minor Xu Ben.There is no scientific method to judge whether they are correct or not.Therefore,this kind of situation needs further investigation.Third,reasons for the occurrence of different texts in the interpretation:1.Confuse one thing with another.and those with larger interpretations of the“Shuo Wen(????)”cited in the“Dictionary(????)”mostly have mistaken identity which is not closely related to the“Dictionary(????)”training.A direct reference to"Zheng Zi Tong(?????)"and"Zi Hui(????)"is directly relevant.2.In the dictionary,there are many phenomena in the dictionary under the pretext of"Shuo Wen(????)".In other words,the definition of his book is the same as that of"Shuo Wen(????),"and it is directly called"Shuo Wen(????)."Interpretation.3.Mixed use of ancient and modern words,"Kang Xi Dictionary(??????)"cited"Shuo Wen(????)"when the intention to use ancient characters,but also does not rule out the use of current words,so there is a mixed phenomenon that in one book with the ancient word as well as the current word.4.Copying mistakes.The technology and economic level were limited at the time,and manual transmission and stereotyped printing would inevitably lead to mistakes.Under this background,the interpretation of the“Shuo Wen(????)”quoted in the“Dictionary(????)”was unavoidable.5.Other reasons,in addition to the above reasons,there may be other reasons for the interpretation of the"Shuo Wen(????)"cited in the"Dictionary(????)"appeared in different texts,if there is a specific word interpretation has not yet found its exact source,this may be the compiler's.It is also not a bad idea to add subjective judgments;at the same time,people's understanding of the text is limited.There are many variant characters and common characters in the Qing Dynasty.There is no conclusion yet about those reasons.As the Emperor Kangxi said:"The"Zi Hui(????)"lost,the"Zheng Zi Tong(?????)"involved in the proliferation,while"Kangxi Dictionary(??????)"compiled for the purpose of enhanced"Zi Hui(????)"of the relict as well as deleted the verbosity of"Zheng Zi Tong(?????)"."Therefore,the"Kangxi Dictionary(??????)"as a significant literary works,although there are misunderstandings,but also a good selection of many types of classical books.According to its high degree of conformity with the interpretation material of the"Shuo Wen(????),"we should be good at adopting it to collate the present Da Xu Ben's"Shuo Wen(????)"in the future related research.We should use the dictionary to actively identify the true and false in order to shows the important role in the study of literature and other languages.
