"Penetrable",one of the most important aesthetic orientations of traditional Chinese painting,is often used to describe ink paintings.The first chapter of this article focus on the origin between "Penetrable" and traditional Chinese painting,discussing the importance of Penetrable to the Ink Paintings combined with the related contents in the theory of Chinese ancient painting and the works with "Penetrable" aesthetic orientation in traditional Chinese painting,The first half of the second chapter mainly discusses the inheritance of tradition and the breakthroughts of itself in the course of the material medium and practice develpment of Contemporary Ink Paintings.The second half of the second chapter mainly discusses two different kinds of visual expressions of "Penetrable" in the practice of Contemporary Ink Paintings.One is to construct the visual perception of "Penetrable" in space through grasping of the media characteristics of traditional ink materials.The other one is to create the visual picture of “Penetrable” through the use of "ink" and the color and the light and shade of the picture based on the visual elements of the picture itself.The two different expressions about "Penetrable" also further confirm the inheritance and innovation in the practice of Contemporary Ink Paintings.The third chapter mainly discusses the visual expression of "Penetrable" inspirit me a lot in my ink practice,"Penetrable" is an important aesthetic orientation of ink works,it can serve the visualization of the work by excavating the characteristics of the medium of ink materials and exploring new brushstroke languages,while the presentation of ink works served as the final stage of the Ink Painting practice.How to show the ink works "Penetrable" vision better,which is what we as an Ink Practitioners must learn and think.
