Vision is the most important sense for human beings to understand the world.Shape is an inherent attribute of everything.Visual sense directly influences people's emotion and affects their judgment.The existence of shape is objective,but the identification of shape is a visual issue.Based on the direction I focus on in the art field and my exploration practice,this paper discusses the relation between vision and shape from the perspectives of aesthetic experience,artistic technique,material selection,themes of paintings,etc.It also discusses how to realize the process of visual conversion of plane and facade through the choice of artistic creation and the determination of shape by vision.The first part focuses on the basic relation between vision and shape,putting forward the theme of this paper: the visual transformation of plane and facade.The second part,from the perspective of visual perception and my personal aesthetic understanding,analyzes the production of space in paintings and architecture,as well as the transformation of plane and facade.The third part mainly discusses the artistic technique and material selection in the field of painting from the perspective of the extension of visual perception,and the influence of artistic technique and material selection on vision and shape.The fourth part treats the themes of paintings,mainly about the visual image of cities.Starting from shape,involving building and the form of cities.With a large number of illustrations,this part teases out artists' imagination and portray of cities in different historical periods.The fifth part introduces my exploration of vision and shape in the practice of painting.Vision and shape are a broad topic.For the current research on visual culture in China,it is a kind of supplement to explore the vision from the perspective of my own practice.
