A Brief Analysis On Erhu’s Fingering Pattern

As the pieces in Erhu repertoire being increased and enriched throughout the years,the difficulty of the works especially in terms of left hand fingering were increased as well.This phenomena forces the current Erhu players to sharpened their left hand skill in order to face the challenging pieces.I will use my expertise and experience to explore the fingering patterns,dividing it into Traditional Fingering and Contemporary Fingering,then analyze the Erhu pieces of the grading examination book,contemporary pieces,transcript pieces and orchestra Erhu section score(extract)following with opinions and suggestions.
