Grammar system is the foundation of language learning.A good command of grammar is of vital importance to learners' level of the language use.It can stimulate the learners to improve their understanding and application of the language.Semantic content can be shown through grammatical framework.The senior high three three graders,especially,need a rapid breakthrough in their English grammar so as to grasp the core of rules.Meanwhile,acquiring knowledge more efficiently is of great importance for them.However,most of them do not want to devote their precious time to grammar learning since they find the process of English grammar learning is long and tedious.The consequence of this phenomenon is their poor English level.Schema theory has been mostly applied in listening comprehension,high school vocabulary,reading,and writing research.It can barely be found to have been used in high school English grammar teaching research,and has never been seen in the research of rapid breakthrough of grammar teaching in the senior high three grade.Based on assimilation and adaptation in Schema theory,this paper tries to answer the following three questions: 1.How to use Schema theory to improve English grammar teaching level for senior high three grade students? 2.Can schema theory help improve the efficiency of English grammar teaching and learning in a short time? 3.After applying Schema theory,what changes can be found?The objects of this research are two classes of students in Byguard Foreign Language Training Center.One of which consisting of 32 students is used as the experimental class while the other class of 30 students is used as the controlled class.The research lasting from September 1 till December 30.SPSS 19.0 is used to analyze the collective experimental data which shows that not only can Schema theory help improve the efficiency of English grammar teaching,but also provide the rapid and connective transformation between grammatical items.This paper gives a detailed explanation about the implementation of Schema theory in the research.Through the combination of sixteen tenses with four kinds of time and four tenses,this paper tried to quantify the breakthrough of the senior high three grade grammar teaching,providing some insights for other teachers.There are definitely some areas for improvement in the research.Some suggestions are provided in the last part of the paper.
