From Confucius's View Of Righteousness And Benefit To Contemporary Confucian Businessman

The first chapter is about the content and development of Confucius's view of righteousness and profit.Confucius's concept of righteousness and benefit is embodied in the process of a gentleman's sageliness within and kingliness without.In the Analects of Confucius,the gentleman is the manager of the society and must bear the responsibility of saving the world;it is an ideal personality model and worthy of the common people to imitate it.Therefore,stick to righteous thought is the self-improvement of the gentleman,and Gaining benefits through moral are the responsibility of the gentleman.To Meng Zi,the discrimination of righteousness and benefit developed into the starting point of the theory of sexual goodness,expressed as sacrificing life for righteousness,the end of the benevolent political proposition and the "King hegemony" of the first righteousness and post benefit,thus through the"three discrimination" and the whole ideological system of Meng Zi.The second chapter is the presentation of Confucius under the guidance of the outlook on Confucian businessman.The author first discusses Confucius's guidance to the Confucian businessmen,mainly divided into the good faith quality,the marketing strategy and the cooperation and win-win business thinking.The Confucian doctrine rewrites the business trajectory of Zi Gong,which makes him a small businessman who makes a living for his own person to make a big business for the living of the world.Taking into account the practice of Confucian businessmen in Chinese history,they began to form in the pre Qin period,but soon encountered the cold winter of the policy of the Empire's heavy agriculture and restraining commerce.It could only grow slowly in the twists and turns,and gradually emerged from the middle of the Ming Dynasty to the bud of capitalism.But the system environment of autocratic centralization made the Confucian businessmen always get out of the shadow of official business.Therefore,it is difficult to develop entrepreneurship and grow into an independent social class.By the end of the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China,the invasion of the Western powers brought advanced science and technology and management norms,which made the Confucian businessmen get a transformational development and expanded to the overseas Chinese businessmen.The business ethics embodied in the business activities of the Confucian businessmen,namely,the unification of righteousness and benefit,not only engage in business activities in a moral way,thus gain profits,but also undertake moral obligations with the benefits obtained.It is the inheritance and development of Confucius's concept of righteousness and profit in the business of commodity management.The third chapter discusses how to make Confucius's ideological resources in the view of righteousness and profit for Chinese contemporary enterprises.This chapter first denies Marx Webb's view that Confucian culture is a hindrance to the emergence of capitalist modernization,and demonstrates in detail why the Confucian business ethics,represented by Confucius's righteousness and profit view,can provide a cultural basis for the construction of Chinese contemporary entrepreneurial spirit.Secondly,from the level of history,the Chinese enterprises in the past 40 years of reform and opening up have been analyzed.The problems arising from the development of the industry include the system construction,the changes in the market environment and the defects of the enterprises.Finally,taking these issues as the guidance,Confucius's concept of righteousness and benefit is used as the ideological resource to elucidate the sense of righteousness and benefit in Chinese Enterprises:the first is the maximization of the interests of the enterprises,the second is the optimization of social responsibility,The third is to cast the spirit of entrepreneurship for the benefit of mankind.
