| Peng Song(1916-2016),a historian,educator and choreographer of Chinese dance.As a pioneer and founder of Chinese dance historiography and a pioneer of the education of Chinese modem folk dance,Peng Song witnessed the development of Chinese dance as a discipline from scratch which grows stronger since the founding of China.Peng Song has participated in every progress and every exploration the field of dance has made and made unparallel contribution to not only the collection of folk dance materials and the development of textbook system,but also the research of dance history and the exploration of dance theory.The object of this research is the dance artist Peng Song.Through the analysis of his artist career over seventy years,this paper would examine the development of the art of Chinese new dance and the positive role he played in this course.This paper located Peng Song in the background of the development of contemporary Chinese dance,reviewing,analyzing and summarizing artistic career.The paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter is the retrospect of the creation career,reviewing the choreography and creation of Peng Song chronologically.The second chapter is the summary of the achievements of historiography research,including the foundation of the study of Chinese dance history and its academic characteristics.The third chapter is the analysis of the aesthetic views.Based on the previous two chapters,this paper tries to sum up the influence of Peng Song’s artistic career on his aesthetic views of dance. |
