‘Under Western Eyes'(1910)is one of the most special works of Conrad.This article is based on the work combined with imagologie,which aims at analyzing the image of Russia in Conrad's novel.And then the article discussed Conrad's perspectives about a series of relevant problems such as despotism,revolution,exile,betrayal and identity through the analysis on the image of Tsarist Russia,the national spirit of Russia,and the Russian polities.
