The Study Of Shen Congwen's Emotional Memory

Shen Congwen is one of the most important writers in the history of modern Chinese literature.His literary creation formed formed his own distinctive characteristics and constructed the unique ‘Xiangxi world' in the history of modern Chinese literature.Since the new era,Chinese academic circles have maintained a higher degree of attention to the study of Shen Congwen.From the perspective of psychology,the study of Shen Congwen involves many aspects,such as cultural psychology,literary psychology,psychological description of works,and so on.In this paper,we study Shen Congwen's emotional memory in his creation under the perspective of literary and Aesthetic psychology.The academic circles have generally paid attention to the influence of psychological activities such as emotion,emotion and memory on Shen Congwen's creation,However,the research on emotional memory as the observation point was less.Based on this,we take the relationship between Shen Congwen's emotional memory and his creation as the object of study.On the one hand,we discuss the influence of emotional memory on Shen Congwen's creative motivation and Aesthetic psychology,on the other hand,we explore the Aesthetic expression and Aesthetic style of emotional memory in Shen Congwen's creation.In the introduction,we summarize the the origin of the study,the research on Shen Congwen and his emotional memory,as well as the main content and research methods of this paper.In chapter1,being based on the concept and characteristics of emotional memory,we clarify the research path of emotional memory in literary psychology,from which we can see the possible relationship between emotional memory and literary creation.From the angle of creative motivation,we first explain the psychological connection between emotional memory and Shen Congwen's creation.In chapter2,we mainly discover the influence of emotional memory on Shen Congwen's Aesthetic psychology,from the following three aspects: Firstly,the emotional memory of Shen Congwen's early life in western Hunan,including his childhood,soldier 'career,led to his natural Aesthetic tendency.Secondly,Shen Congwen's life in the city deepened his early Aesthetic tendency of loving nature and gradually developed into a kind of rural complex.Thirdly,the emotional content stored in the cultural memory has a subtle influence on Shen Congwen's Aesthetic consciousness,including romantic spirit,natural consciousness,tragic psychology,deep pain and hidden worries,etc.This causes Shen Congwen to be aesthetically biased towards romantic and sentimental emotional expression.In chapter3,combining with Shen Congwen's specific literary works,we examine the Aesthetic performance of emotional memory in Shen Congwen's creation from three aspects: the theme,the Character image and the “water” image.On the theme,we found Shen Congwen's examination and choice of regional beauty from the oppressive and dreary urban space while the poetic and elegy in Xiangxi space.In the Character image,the intellectuals are emptiness and inferiority while the sailors are high-spirited and warm love,and the females are tender yearning,which shows Shen Congwen's understanding and determination of human beauty.On the image of “water”,from the sorrow and fantasy of Rain Water,the richness and tranquility of the river,the brimless and meditation of the sea,Shen congwen revealed his Aesthetic consciousness.In chapter4,we discuss how Shen Congwen forms characteristic Aesthetic style when emotional memory is put into his creation.First of all,the thinking and creation mode of emotional memory writing results in Shen Congwen's poetic style totally.Secondly,the stylistic structure of prose poetry,the artistic effect of music and the fine arts,forms the prose style created by Shen Congwen.Thirdly,unexhausted words and the natural language,points to Shen Congwen's bland style.
