The iconicity theory of language is recognized by more and more linguists.However,in the study of iconicity,linguists mainly focus on syntactic iconicity,and less attention is paid to the iconicity of text.Chinese characters are unique ideographs,different from other characters,and have more prominent iconicity features.In this paper,by examining the differences in Chinese characters and the formation process of Chinese characters,the iconicity characteristics of Chinese characters are expounded.According to the symbol of c.s.Peirce,the symbol of "elephant" is classified.At the same time,the syntactic relationship of Haiman is extended to the analysis of the complex character,and the iconicity of the structure relation between the internal parts of the complex is discussed.On the basis of this,the paper discusses the necessity and advantages of the iconicity in the teaching of foreign characters,and expounds its own views on its teaching application.The thesis mainly includes five parts.The first part is the introduction,which clarifies the research background,research purpose and significance,main content,research methods and material basis,as well as the innovation points of the thesis.In the second part,the theoretical basis of this research is summarized and the relevant research status is summarized.The theoretical basis involves the development of iconicity,the connotation of iconicity,and the theory of Chinese characters,semiotics theory and syntactic iconicity theory.The review part of the research is mainly from the two aspects of ontology research and teaching research.In the third part,the similarity of Chinese characters is analyzed.To explore the iconicity characteristics of Chinese characters from the Angle of Chinese characters and the formation of Chinese characters;According to the symbol tripartite method,the characters of "elephant like" are classified.According to the characters of Chinese characters,the iconicity principle of syntactic structure is discussed in this paper.The fourth part discusses the necessity of introducing iconicity into the teaching of foreign characters and its advantages.In the fifth part,on the basis of the above research,the specific application ofChinese iconicity in the teaching of foreign Chinese characters is analyzed systematically,and the related problems in the application are discussed.
