An Exploration Of The Three Elements Of Plane Composition In Photography

Photography and plane composition are both based on two dimensional plane,they make up and combine the visual elements so that the esthetical art is found and constructed,which make the combination of plane composition and photography become possible.Although photography is the art which observes and abstract the beauty of reality,the understanding and practice of plane composition are still necessary if we want to find out beauty better,place the reality onto plane in theoretical form,process the abstract or figurative form into ideal visual form.Especially plane composition is based on modern technology;it consists of optics,physics,aesthetics and psychology,and therefore plane composition also includes the factors which photography needs.We can say that plane composition is the basic of plane composition.Because of the important function of plan composition,the paper studies how photography combines with plane composition in terms of the plane composition theories and photography practice.Composition is modern molding concept.It means the construction of a new form through the re-combination of different elements.And composition also endows the new form visual and mechanical meanings with aesthetical and physical theories.Plane composition integrates the elements as point,line and surface through comparison,segmentation,texture and irradiation.In photography,photographer takes point,line and surface to observe the reality,and integrates the point,line and surface of the reality by his own understanding of beauty,life and feelings so that a meaningful view is constructed.Therefore,the paper combines the basic elements of plane composition and photography practice in order to explore the perspectivity,story,unstableness,unicity and groupment of point,the application of Invisible thread,light ray,Z line and S line in photography,the surface as platform and the effects of oblique plane.Finally,we could achieve the mutual promotion between theory and practice and get constructive conclusion.
