From the perspective of the communication theory of civilization,the process of the civilization of Persians and Arabs in Medieval can be divided into four historical stages.In the pre-Islamic period,the Persian Sassanid Empire and Byzantium contend for the Middle East,and East-West trade flourished.As Arabs in tribal society gradually became involved in regional military hegemony,the irreplaceable geographical position of the peninsula enabled Arabs to play an important role in the economic and trade of the Sassanid Empire.In the 730 s,the newly established Arab countries continued to grow in military conquest and the Persians were also under Arab rule.From the time of the four caliphs to the Umayyad period,in the process of the gradual integration of the Persians into the Arab society,the long life of peaceful coexistence and conflict against violent struggle coexist,The Islamicized religious life and Persian political and economic management system promoted the two.The fusion of civilizations.By the time of Abbas,the political system of the Arab countries had matured and the cultural undertakings had ushered in the peak of development.The Persians were favored by the rulers with their outstanding political talent and profound cultural heritage.In the cultural events of the 100-year translation movement,the Persians became the introducers of Eastern Indian culture and Western Greek culture.A large number of ancient translation work enriched the Arab world of literature and art.In the four major historical stages of the Middle Ages,the Persians and Arabs coexisted from opposing confrontation to fusion,Islam conferred both the common spiritual beliefs,and the results of classical civilization became the common cultural wealth of the two.Although Abbas political structure and historical development in the middle and late periods entered a period of alien rule,the interactions between the Persians and Arabs in the Middle Ages not only promoted the history of civilization in the Middle East,but also indirectly affected the awakening of the Middle Ages European World.Its world significance is extraordinary,and its cultural influence is extremely far-reaching.Its history is an indelible and wonderful chapter in the history of world civilization exchanges.
