Research On Chiang Kai-shek's National Consciousness

Modern China has experienced the process of moving forward from semi-colonial and semi-feudal society to independence and self-improvement.In this process,Chinese people's modern national consciousness has gradually formed.Chiang Kai-shek,as an important political figure in Chinese modern history,the formation,development and practice of his national consciousness also deeply influenced his political career as well as modern Chinese society and history.Therefore,it is necessary to study the formation,development and practice of his national consciousness.This paper intends to make a comprehensive analysis of his national consciousness based on the formation,development and practice of his national consciousness,so as to have a better understanding of him.This paper takes the whole life of Chiang Kai-shek as the time axis and divides into the following parts to ponder and analyze Chiang's national consciousness.The first part analyzes and researches the early form of Chiang Kai-shek's national views based on three aspects including Chiang Kai-shek's Chinese traditional Confucian education,the formation of the anti-imperialist thoughts during the career of studying in Japan and The realization of national consciousness based on Sun Yat-sen's political theory.The second part generalizes the characteristics of Chiang Kai-shek's national consciousness and analyzes the effects of his political activities and the influence to Chinese society by his national consciousness based on the study of the history of Chiang Kai-shek's rule in mainland China.The third part analyzes the characteristics of Chiang Kai-shek's national consciousness in Taiwan and its influence to Taiwanese society from the view of Chiang Kai-shek's continuity and change of his national consciousness based on the social environment and background of Taiwan after his failure in mainland China.The fourth part summarizes the characteristics of Chiang Kai-shek's national consciousness and its influence on his political practice from the perspective of his whole life.Furthermore,this part tries to evaluate his national consciousness.
