Tang Military System And Tang Poetry

As an essential ingredient of state machinery of the Tang Dynasty,the Tang Military system have influenced or even decided social development through its special power.Besides,since the close relationship of literature and times,Tang poetry is definitely related to the arise of Tang Military system during the developing process.This paper take interaction between Tang Military system and Tang poetry as the object of the research,find out the specific ways in which the military system affects poetry creation,analyze the intrinsic link between the evolution of the military system and the transformation of poetry characters,and examine the extent to which poetry reflects the military system,in order to filling the blank of the systematic study of Tang poetry from the perspective of the Military system in the Tang Dynasty.The dissertation contains four chapters.Chapter one is the foundation that outlined the evolution of the Tang Military system in three stages.The first stage is the reconstruction and development of the military system,including the military system,the private offering recruitment and others;the second stage is the major reforms of the military system,including the recruitment military system and the military governorship system;the third stage is the evolution of the military system in the middle and late Tang Dynasty which includes township system and Army of Shence.Chapter two starts with the two aspects of military poetry and poetry that reflects the life of the military.It analyzes the specific influence of the military system of the Tang Dynasty on the creation of Tang poetry,and introduces the general situation of Tang poetry related to the military system.Chapter three discusses the influence of the evolution of the military system in the Tang Dynasty on the image changes of General and Warriors in Tang poetry.Among them,the image of the General can be refined into the image of the General of the early Tang Dynasty,the image of regional commissioner after the Kaiyuan period and the sideman image of the Middle-late Tang Dynasty,while the image of the warrior has the distinction between the hero and the ordinary soldier.Chapter four investigates the Tang poetry's reflection on the problems and drawbacks ofthe military system in the Tang Dynasty,including two aspects of the treatment system and the Army of Shence.A preliminary discussion on a number of military issues involved in Tang poetry is shown specifically in this Chapter.
