The word "context" is a core concept in liguistics, especially in pragmatics, referring to the language environment. In linguistics, context affects the use of language and stresses the importance of environment in language use.Based on the full cognition of context's Constructivism, the author explores the construction and significance of artistic context.Beauty and art are produced in a certain context, but in turn they can also have effect on the context of some human activities, such as political, economical, scientific activities, etc. Therefore, artistic context is a dynamic and constructive social subsystem, which is of great research value. The artistic context can be found everywhere in daily life: festivals and ceremonies, tourist attractions, cultural and artistic festivals, national museums, and music, architecture and even literary works. The universal existence of artistic context provides a wealth of samples for thinking about the relationship between art and context. The relationship between art and context is context constructs art and art constructs context.Art is not only heteronomous, but also prescriptive. This paper explores and demonstrates the interaction between art and context through the analysis of artistic context and various examples. It shows that art is not merely a simple response to social context, and it is not only constructed but also constructs.Through artistic context, other meaningful things and activities can be constructed. Therefore,it is necessary and important to construct artistic contexts. There are three ways to construct the artistic context:relying on the tradition,Inventing the tradition,Introducing the tradition of other countries.
