Objective: The students’ group as the subjects was tested to investigate whether the students’ forgiveness psychology had an impact on depression and aggression and whether the cognitive emotion regulation strategy was an intrinsic mechanism for the effect of forgiveness on depression and aggression.The purpose of this study was to verify that the processing process between forgiveness and depression and aggression is a cognitive emotion regulation strategy.The hypothesis provides new ideas and theoretical guidance for college students’ mental health.Method: Selecting and using General situation questionnaire,The Heartland Forgiveness Scale(HFS),CERQ-C,Beck Depression Inventory(BDI-Ⅱ)and Aggression Questionnaire to test 650 students of Soochow university.And this research did data analysis by SPSS 17.0.Results: The results were compared and analyzed,and the results were as follows: 1,there was a significant correlation between forgiveness and aggression,depression,suitable cognitive emotion regulation strategy and unsuitable cognitive emotion regulation strategy.2,the suitable cognitive emotion regulation strategy plays a partial mediator between forgiveness,depression and aggression,and the unsuitable cognitive emotion regulation strategy plays a partial mediator between forgiveness and depression and aggression.Conclusion: 1.Forgiveness and aggression,depression,cognitive emotion regulation strategy have obvious relationships.2.Forgiveness not only has a direct impact on depression and aggression,but also indirectly influences depression and aggression through cognitive emotion regulation strategy.
