Study On The Lotus Theme Of Badashanren

Bada Shanren was one of the "Four Monks" in late Ming and early Qing Chinese painting circles.Through sorting out the works of Bada Shanren with the subject of lotus during the monk period,the secularization period and the maturity period,this paper will analyze the works and discuss the impact of the predestined affinity between Bada Shanren and lotus on his painting themes and painting styles by taking Lotus and Birds and Heshanghua Tu Juan as examples.Besides,this paper will put forward some of my own points of view in the key points such as "the predestined affinity between Bada Shanren and lotus","the formation of Bada Shanren’s lotus style","the specific analysis with the works of Lotus and Birds and Heshanghua Tu Juan","Bada Shanren’s artistic achievements of lotus" and "the influence of Bada Shanren’s lotus affection on later flower-and-bird painters",with the supplement of Bada Shanren’s works of lotus during his life,to clarify the significance of his works and write a periodical literature review of his works which made progress in the development of art history of China and the development of Chinese flower-and-bird paintings.
