The Research On Jigu Tu

Ruan Yuan's Jigu Tu is a long traditional Chinese handscroll,which is to show he's early bronzes and stone tables collection.This gathering of a painting of Ruan Yuan antiques with the rubbings of their inscriptions on a single handscroll constitutes a unique attempt to include an entire collection in a global representation and the art document and historical data values are worthy to be praised.In addition to introducing Jigu Tu in a systematic way from the image content,the authors,the source of the rubbings and the preface and postscript,this thesis also annotates the key utensils in the Jigu Zhoi,and on the basis of this,discusses Ruan Yuan' s ideology on collecting epigraphy works.It is hoped that the great influence of Ruan Yuan to the epigraphy can be realized by prying on his research and collection of bronzes and stone tables collection and the corresponding historical concepts.
