Analysis And Research Of Gyorgy Ligeti’s<Musica Recercata>

In this article,the Piano Suite Musica Recercata,of famous composer Gy?rgy Sandor Ligeti（1923—2006）early work will be took into study.With the musical form analysis of each composition in this suit.The characteristic technique of creation in all composition will be tried to be analysed.And the creative characteristic in every composition will be got together to make summarize.At the end of paper,the position where the composition should be in Ligeti’s creating career will be discussed.In The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Music composers,Ligeti’s creating career is divided into three periods.The first period is Hungarian period as known as early creation period.The second period is from 1956s to the time of creation of opera Great Death,as known as medium-term creation period.And the last period is the time after creation of opera Great Death,as known as later creation period.Piano Suite composition Musica Recercata was created during the time1951—1953,which should be early creation period of Ligeti.And Ligeti has said like this“I tried to get rid of traditional method of creation by using some very simple pitching and rhythm structures.I wanted to create some new music that should be taken from nothing.It seemed that I tried in such a Cartesian approach to create（which means suspecting everything）.In this way,I cut off my dependence on the music that I uesd to know and love.”As much as author think,there should be reasons of two aspects why Ligeti choose Recercar.In one aspect,Recercar gets the meaning of exploration and practice that Ligeti thought Musica Recercata is very important creation of exploration.In another aspect,Ricercar was born with 16^th century which means it was old and uncommon.Ligeti choose it just because he wanted to get rid of some normal creative method.Firstly in the introduction part the reason why this suite be selected and significance of research and research status in China and abroad is been expound.Followed is introduction of Ligeti’s creative stages and Piano Suite Musica Recercata.The first chapter after introduction part is about the creation overview introduction that includes creation background and musical form analysis of each composition in the suite.The second chapter summarizes the creation techniques from pitch,melody,tone and use of intervals and chords.The last part of second chapter is about exploration of rhythm of beats an new piano timbres.Than the third chapter is about Musica Recercata creative character that be expound in three aspects of overall layout,structures techniques and style emulation.The last part of article is summarizes of Musica Recercata creative significance and the position where this suite should be in Ligeti’s creative career.
