This thesis focuses on the author's graduate solo concert from both theoretical and practical perspectives. This concert provides not only a prime opportunity to demonstrate her professional skills, but also an initial summary of academic theory and research. In the process of preparing this graduation concert, the author can familiarize herself with more Chinese and Western musical works and explore the works suited to her more comprehensively. Not only does she gain more rigorous academic knowledge and rich accumulation of works, but also makes a breakthrough in her own singing style and skills. The graduation concert examines the achievements of the author in the past three years as a postgraduate.Based on the characteristics of the author's timbre, twelve vocal works have been selected under the guidance of her supervisor, including both Chinese and Western ones. With respect to time, western works cover those from different historical periods, specifically from the 17 th to the 19 th century, with different styles and different genres. In terms of space,Chinese works include art songs based on classical Chinese poetry, modern art songs, and creative songs."A combination of Chinese and Western elements" in artistic practice is highly appreciated in the author's concert. At the end of the thesis, the author also elaborates the concert schedule.
