A Research On Tourism Chinese Teaching In Thailand

With its unique and rich tourism resources,Thailand attracts a large number of tourists from all over the world each year.Since 2012,the total amount of Chinese tourists has steadily occupied the first place among all foreign tourists traveling to Thailand.To provide better service for Chinese tourists,tourism Chinese teaching has emerged in Chinese classes in Thailand,providing tourism departments with a lot of talents.However,there are still some distances from the actual needs.The research on tourism Chinese teaching in Thailand is obviously lagging behind.This paper focused on tourism Chinese teaching of Mae Fah Luang University.It conducted an in-depth investigation of this university and approached some respects about teaching contents and teaching methods of tourism Chinese teaching in Thailand.This paper is divided into four parts.Firstly,it introduced the background,the meaning of this topic and the relative researches.Secondly,under the background of the development of tourism industry in Thailand,it focused on the current demand of Thai tourism industry for talents who are skilled at Chinese,introduced different Chinese education institutions in Thailand,to summarize and analyze the overall characteristics of tourism Chinese teaching in Thailand.Thirdly,through the questionnaire survey,deeply analysis the current situation and problems existing in the tourism Chinese teaching in Mae Fah Luang University.The last part proposed some suggestions on teaching contents,teaching principles and teaching methods for the tourism Chinese teaching in Thailand.
