Language learning is a complicated process,but this process can be expressed through the students’ learning behaviors.Through the investigation and study of students’ learning behaviors,we can know the characteristics of the students’ language learning,and we can put forward some corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to improve the quality of teaching according those characteristics.The object of this study is the Chinese learners of Wroclaw University Confucius Institute.This study adopts questionnaire survey,classroom observation,interviews and other research methods to investigate the polish Chinese learners’ learning behaviors,to get the characteristics of Chinese learners’ learning behaviors in Poland,and put forward some suggestions according the conclusions and specific circumstance of Chinese teaching situation in Poland.In the questionnaire survey part,this study issued questionnaires about Chinese learning behaviors to 150 students of the Chinese learners of Wroclaw University Confucius Institute,finally got 138 valid questionnaires for the data analyzing.In the classroom observation part,this study selected the Chinese comprehensive course of business Chinese class in Wroclaw University Confucius Institute as the case,recorded the classroom learning behaviors of 10 students in this class and analyzed the recording.In the interview part,this study selected 3 teachers and 12 students of Wroclaw university as interviewees to ask them some questions about students’learning behaviors,then collected the answers to be interview excerpts and analyzed them.Through analyzing of the questionnaire survey,classroom observations and interviews,we can get following conclusions:(1)The learning behaviors of Chinese learners in Poland have different characteristics in different stages,the undergraduate phase of Chinese learners in Poland overall have more positive learning behaviors than other age phases,the shorter learning time Chinese learners in Poland overall have more positive learning behaviors than longer learning time Chinese leamers;(2)The learning behaviors of Chinese learners in Poland have gender difference,the women Chinese learners overall have more positive learning behaviors than men;(3)Four dimensions of learning behaviors of Chinese learners in Poland are all have positive correlations with the Chinese achievements of corresponding Chinese learners;(4)The Chinese learners study in Confucius institute overall have more positive learning behaviors than the Chinese learners study in the teaching school of Confucius institute;(5)The learning behaviors of Chinese learners in Poland showed interest in Chinese culture,especially in the area of music;(6)Chinese learners in Poland prefer communicative learning mode in the process of Chinese learning.According to conclusions of this study,combing with the practical situation of Chinese teaching in Poland,some suggestions about Chinese teaching can be put forward:(1)Developing positive learning behaviors of Chinese learners in Poland according to their characteristics of Chinese learning,keep their Chinese learning enthusiasm;(2)We should teach the Chinese learners of different sex,different age phases in different way,according to their aptitudes.(3)Attaching importance to the the teaching management and teaching quality of Confucius institute’s primary and secondary Chinese teaching schools.
