| As a kind of legal document,business contract plays a critical role in economic society.With the development of transnational trade,the translation of business contracts is also becoming more and more important.The C-E translation task is a translation practice report based on a translation program of a business contract,A House Purchasing Contract.As a business contract,the source text is a housing provident fund personal purchase guarantee loan contract,and it's mainly about the obligations and rights of each party involved.Received in May,2017,the translation task was completed after a month.The total words of translation task were over 10,500.Based on translation practice,this report mainly focuses on the features of the source text to explore a faithful and expressively version so that the task can be finished successfully.This report is composed by five parts.The first part is introduction which explains the background information of source text.The second part is about task description,which represents the analysis of the source text and requirements of the entrusting party.The detailed description of the translation process is discussed in the third paragraph,including search for background information,selection of translation tools,translation theories and skills,methods of quality control,description of translation process and evaluation.The fourth part is case analysis.In this part,under the guidance of the three rules of Skopos Theory,the translator analyzes the source text from three aspects: words,sentences and discourse.The conclusion is discussed in the last part.In this part,some unsolved problems,related reflections and implications for future research were summarized by the translator.In conclusion,through analyzing translation process,this report aims to discuss some problems appearing in the translation of business contract and find out according solutions,and summarize the usage of translation theory and skills in the practice. |
