Narrative Study Of Animated Short Films

Animation is a kind of art form of literature,painting,music,photography and other art together,the creation process of animation is the process of these arts and technology integration,in addition to the conventional animation and animation film,there is a short time,content innovation,self-expression form,is the animation short film.It has been more than 80 years since 1933,when academy of motion picture arts and sciences set up the academy award for best animated short film.nowadays,animated short film is becoming more and more rich in content,expression techniques emerge in endlessly,and the theme is also different,which has always been the vane of new forms of animation creation.With the rapid development of animation in recent years,animation films pay more and more attention to the commercial value,and become the mainstream of animation development.however,the animation short films for the purpose of experiment,innovation and self-expression are also gradually loved by people,and the creation space provided by animation short films for creators is irreplaceable.Animated short film shows a variety of forms,but the main function of the short film is to tell stories,so the story is the essence and soul of animation short film creation,animation short film creation is the key to the script,that is,the creator want to say what,because of the creativity and self of animation short film,makes different works will have different narrative content,using different narrative means,these narrative means determines an animation short film is to be created in what form and presented to the audience.No matter what form animated short film is displayed,its main function is narrative,which is the narrative of animated short film.In this paper,the general sense of the animation film,that is,the film length of less than 30 minutes of animation film on its narrative of the general law to analyze and study.The narrative of animated short film not only has narrative content,but also includes narrative characteristics,narrative structure and narrative symbols,which is also the focus of this paper.Animation short film is different from commercial animation,animation short film is to show the creator's personalized creative works,has a broad creative space,creative environment is relatively free,in the expression of personality at the same time,the play skills are no longer constrained,because of its free form of creation,different narrative forms,fully express themselves,so that many non-professional creators have also invested in animation short film artistic creation.On the basis of drawing lessons from literature and movie scripts,this paper mainly discusses the narrative characteristics,narrative structure and narrative symbols of animated short films.through the lens,color,sound and script of animated short films,this paper analyzes the narrative characteristics of animated short films.the purpose is to summarize what is narrative and what is narrative content,summarize these contents,apply them to graduation creation,and enrich the narrative research on animated short films.
