Since 1990s,the concussion of modernization made the barriers between urban and rural areas get loose with each passing day.And the"migrant worker tide" gradually attracted the attention of the community.Marx said that "modern history is the urbanization of villages,rather than in ancient times,when it was the ruralization of cities".Therefore,under the attraction of the modern civilization of the city,it is the inevitable result of the social development that the country become city.Since the 90s of the last century,television creators have been paying attention to this special group from the countryside to the city.The TV dramas of migrant workers experienced a period of creation and prosperity until 21st century.More than 30 TV dramas of migrant workers are born on screen.The living state of the migrant workers in unfamiliar cities is presented to the public.They become a vivid image record in the development of the times.Compared with men,female migrant workers suffer more modern pain than male migrant workers because of gender reasons.So the creators give them more narrative cares and portrays the image of various types of female migrant workers.They show the difficult situation and the course of survival between the country and the city.After the conversion of living space,their subjectivity disappears with the "him tide" of the city and then they become the "her" of the city.She may be the "Cinderella" saved by prince,or a selfless "understanding wife and loving mother",or a "fallen angel" in the city,or "Mulan" going out for battle……Rural women play a different life in the city.But the demand of urban identity is not satisfied and they are far away from the spiritual home,which make this group of foreign people fall into the anxiety of identity.From the countryside to the city,the plight of survival puts them on the edge of the city.From the city to the countryside,the countryside refuses them to return because of the urban factors that they have internalized.So they can only be a myriad of "her" between the village ethics and the urban rules.It is difficult for rural women's to integrate into the city.The creators also give humanistic care and realistic criticism to the awkward situation of them.But the creator conceals some limits in the image of female migrant workers.In the stereotyped urban thinking,the fate of the rural and rural women is all portrayed as suffering.Even if they succeed in the city,this success is measured by the standard of success in urban thinking.And this success is a rebirth of the original identity.In addition,in the patriarchal perspective of the creators,the hurt of female migrant workers in city are desalinated by the external form of comedy.No matter how successful they are,it is hard to escape the fate of the "husband guides wife".It also hints at the complexity and arduousness for female as "the secondary sex" confront with the male power way of thinking.
