A Study On The Translation Strategies Of Call To Arms In The View Of Cultural Identity

This paper intends to study the selection and application of the translation strategies from the perspective of cultural identity in the Call to arms that is a collection of short stories translated by Tohty·Baki who is the famous translator of Uyghur nationality.The first chapter is composed of two parts.Firstly,it explains the key concepts of "culture","identity" and "cultural identity" in the process of argumentation,and then explains the research methods,language sources and significance.The second chapter is the core part of the whole thesis.First,the translator starts with the words in Uyghur version.The use of translation methods of sentences and texts is analyzed and studied from point to surface.In the process of Chinese-Uyghur translation,culture identity as an important role in the use of translation methods.By addressing the translator's choice of translation methods that the translation of selected auxiliary foreignization domestication as the main translation strategy,discusses the cultural identity and translation strategies.Finally,the author carried out the research on the above,the influence on the cultural identity of Chinese literary works Uyghur translation is more and more important,can not be ignored.The author confirms the claim in the process of Chinese literary works in the dimension of translation,which from the perspective of culture translation,in order to enhance the Uyghur readers of Chinese culture cultural identity as the goal is needs and trends.The third chapter summarizes the translation between Chinese and Uyghur to illustrate the influence of cultural identity on translation of literary works,which is divided into two aspects: translation should services and promote cultural identity.The author thinks that Chinese translation should break away from the narrow understanding of translation in the traditional form of linguistic formalism,and take the promotion of Chinese cultural identity as the basic purpose to literally step into the cultural context.The translation strategy is different from the translation method,and the translation strategy belongs to the top of the translation method.It is based on the choice of translator's translation method to judge the direction of translation strategy.
