Research On The Artistic Features Of Peter Doig's Painting

As a contemporary British representational painter,Peter Doig drew on the style of painters in different periods in painting and gave birth to new ways of creation from his unique perspective.Peter Doig used his painting language to express his melancholy feelings.He poured his experience into painting,so that all his works had autobiographical elements.At the same time,Peter Doig's landscape painting is different from the traditional landscape works,and his photographic perspective makes his works very special.Through the analysis of the characteristics of Peter Doig's works,we can fully explore the uniqueness of its painting art.The value of its painting art is of great significance for us to really understand the development of figural painting in the contemporary era.This article is divided into five chapters to analyze.First of all,from the perspective of traditional painting,the traditional factors contained in Peter Doig's paintings are explored to explore the formation and evolution of the unique style of painting.In particular,the characteristics of Doig's paintings and Nabis paintings are compared and analyzed.The two representative painters' works are compared with their works,and the similarities between them are analyzed.The last three chapters focus on the specific characteristics of Peter Doig's paintings,including themes,media,structures and colors.The fifth chapter presents the art works ofPeter Doig's emotions and feelings and creative ideas are analyzed,to explore the unique poetic nature Doig picture.
