A Reconstruction Of Modernity:from The Modern Sketch To The Modern Sketch

Modern Sketch was released from 1934 to 1937,which was with a total of 39 periods.It was the most influential comic magazine in the republic of China.From the perspective of "modernity",this paper discusses the modernity and its contemporary value in "modern sketch " and tries to create a new perspective for the artistic creation of contemporary modernity.Through three aspects of the spiritual dimension of modernity,namely the awakening of self-awareness,popular science and liberal democracy,rational spirit and a history of the era of the social group that are shared by the ideology of Chinese modernity performance in the 1930 s are discussed.On this basis,we will from the fashionable world of self-consciousness awakening and consciousness of national revival based "imagination of community" investigation "age comic" the text of the content and the manifestation of modernity in the image and with the age comic book unique photo montage and comic colleages are analyzed.Through the analysis of contemporary artists’ works of modernity,the contemporary value of "modern sketch" is discussed in combination with the embodiment of modernity.And we will draw the conclusion: the age of comics,dimensions and characteristics of modernity belong to nature of modernity itself,since both the era comics adopted "age" of such a word,or the "modernity" itself,which has a "timeless".Through the study of "modern sketch",the author considers the present "time cartoon" as a paradigm and the object of view and can give it new value in the contemporary context.
