Review And Comment On The Domestic Spatial Narrative Research

Since the “Space turn” seeped into literature,the research of spatial narrative never stopped.The overseas research of spatial narrative have born abundant fruits.From Joseph Frank to Ruth Ronen,from Spatial Form in Modern Fiction to Space in Fiction,the abroad research is still continuing and have came up with several theoretical study models and frames about spatial narrative theory building.But the domestic spatial narrative research began later than overseas.And on the macro prospective the domestic current research results were discussed in lots of fields,it looks like very messy and do not have some tangible theory achievements.The author hopes to clear a transparent path of China spatial narrative research through teasing and introducing the domestic spatial narrative research results,and then walk along this transparent clue and path to lay a solid foundation for domestic spatial narrative theory building.The full essay includes five parts: Part one sets out from the theoretical discussion about text outside of domestic spatial narrative research,and introduces three problem domains and focus at present of domestic spatial narrative philosophy research which are space and time,mentality,society.Part two sets out from the text content inside of domestic spatial narrative research,and teases three problem domains of current domestic spatial narrative content research which are space and scene,image,character.Part three sets out from the text form inside of domestic spatial narrative research,and tidies three focus points of current domestic spatial narrative form research which are spatiality of physical form,spatiality of text structure,spatiality of narrative perspective.Part four bases on the introduction of present domestic spatial narrative study and summarizes some theoretical acquired achievements and other accomplishments of domestic spatial narrative research.Part five bases on the affirmation of the achievements of domestic spatial narrative,and indicates that the research still have some defects and problems,there are some deficiencies about being geared to latest international theoretical research and creating some new spatial narrative research thinking.The domestic spatial narrative study has a huge potential and still retains lots of prolongable areas and space in the future.
