“Pi Huang" is a classic piece in Chinese piano works.Composer Zhang Chao combined Chinese Peking Opera art with western piano art and perfectly demonstrated to the piano the "Form" and "Spirit" in Peking Opera.This article is to study "shape" and "Spirit" in the works.“Shape” is the imitation of the timbres of the accompaniment instruments in Peking Opera.It is mainly the imitation of ethnic percussion instrument timbres and the imitation of stringed instruments and plucked instruments."Spirit" is the embodiment of Chinese rhyme.It is mainly analyzed from the aspects of Beijing opera's tone and pattern.At the same time,he combined the understanding of the work with his own performance in the analysis of the playing,studied the imitation of various features of the Peking Opera in the works,and analyzed the rhythm,strength,and pedal processing.
