Comparative Study On The Narrative Of Sino-American Crime Drama Since The 21st Century

Committing crime and solving cases are common topic concerned by people from all over the world.Therefore,compared with other types of TV series,TV series involved criminal cases are more closely related with the society.As a branch of the TV series involved criminal cases,the criminal reasoning series has been popular among audiences by its dramatic story,suspenseful plots,interlocking reasoning process,strange aesthetic experience.American criminal reasoning series are popular all around the world and has strong vitality.In 2010,Tudou introduced the Criminal minds to China for the first time and only broadcast on the Internet.This is the first American criminal reasoning series broadcast on the Internet,which received high ratings in China.Its high-level production mode and unique narrative mode are admired by the Chinese people and even boost the spread of other types of American TV series in China.China's TV series involved criminal cases have been popular among audiences,but due to the particularity of its type,it has been restricted by policy before.As a result,it disappeared from the public for a long time.In recent years,with the broadcast of The Death Notice,Love me,If you dare,Evil Minds and Day and Night,the criminal reasoning series returned back to the public and became one of the most favorite TV series among the audience,but the Chinese criminal reasoning series are deficient in narrative art.Making comparison with the American criminal reasoning series and learn its mature art creation experience can improve the artistic level of the criminal reasoning series in China.This paper analyzes according the concrete texts by taking Chinese and American criminal reasoning series as the object of study and based on the narratology theory.Firstly,it analyzes the connotation and extension of the crime reasoning drama,its typical characteristics and the cultural core of China and America.Secondly,it discusses from the narrative characters,narrative language and narrative structure to analyze the narrative characteristics of the two countries' criminal reasoning series.These three parts are the main parts of the paper.Finally,the develop trend of the Chinese criminal reasoning series are expressed in the conclusion.The successful experience of the American criminal reasoning drama has enlightenment to the development of Chinese criminal reasoning series and great achievements has been made in the past twenty years.But,the Chinese criminal reasoning series still needs to be improved in the future.From the perspective of narrative art,this paper aims to provide reference for the development of Chinese criminal reasoning series through comparison from multiple aspects and dimensions.
