This English-to-Chinese translation report, which contains translation of three theses,is based on an excerpt of The International Encyclopedia of Education.Under the guidance of Eco-translatology,the translator records the translation process including before translation, while translation and post translation and cites some typical examples to elaborate the guiding role of Eco-translatology.On this basis, the translator summarizes the translation problems and solutions encountered in translation of educational academic texts, providing reference for similar translation practices.Based on Darwin's "Adaptation and Selection Principle",the translator proposes that the nature of translation is the alternating cycle of translators' adaptation and selection of Eco-environment.The theory has its own complete theoretical system, including translation principles, methods and evaluation criteria. The study indicates that Ecotranslatology helps the translator to understand translation from a relatively broader perspective and grasp the original language, source text, target language and target text.Besides,it helps to get rid of the translator's inherent thinking, and explore the problems encountered in educational academic text from an ecological perspective at linguistic, communicative and cultural level.
