Practice Report On Translations Of Engineering Supervision Documents From The Perspective Of Text Analysis Model

Currently,with the acceleration of economic transition in China,construction industry is supposed to improve efficiency,save energy and reduce emissions,which requires strong support from the engineering supervision industry.At the same time,the expansion of international communication has brought new opportunities to the engineering supervision industry in China.The English translation of supervision texts can help the international engineering supervision enterprises better understand the development of this industry in China and promote information sharing in this respect.Furthermore,it is also conducive to China's engineering supervision companies attracting foreign investment,entering the international market and expanding overseas business.The author is entrusted by Beijing Hongsha Construction Engineering Supervision Co.Ltd to translate relevant engineering supervision texts.On this basis,the translation practice report has been completed.This report is expected to bring some inspiration to other translators.The translation of Analysis of Key Points of Supervision Control of Large-scale Public Green Building is chosen as the research object in this report.This translation practice report is based on the text analysis model in Nord's functional translation theory.The report consists of four chapters.Chapter One is the description of the translation task,which introduces the background of the translation task,the source text and the requirements of the client.Chapter Two presents the translation process,including the preparation before translation,the introduction of the theory and the proofreading.Under the guidance of Nord's text analysis model,the author focuses on the analysis of the external and internal factors of the source text.After the comprehensive analysis,the author is more confident about the purpose and function of the target language.Chapter Three is the case analysis.With illustrations of cases selected from the translation practice,the author discusses and summarizes some translation methods and skills at lexical level and sentence level.Chapter Four is the summary of the translation practice,which contains the findings,difficulties andenlightenment in the practice.There are some findings after the research.Firstly,the translator should attach great importance to the translation brief.As the starting point of the whole translation process,the translation brief can help the translator understand the function and purpose of the target text.Secondly,this theory has played an important role in the preparation before translation,which can greatly improve the efficiency of text analysis and lay a solid foundation for the whole translation process.Thirdly,applying the looping model in the translation practice,the translator will consciously review the factors that have been analyzed and make corresponding changes or confirmations,which can greatly improve the overall effect of the translation.
