As one of the world’s famous religions,Chinese Buddhism has a long history and profound connotations. The rich literature of Chinese Buddhism contains precious ecological aesthetic thoughts.Chinese Buddhism pays attention to the inward-looking turn of heart, seeks the spirit of subjectivity, and advocates the transcendence of internality. The Zen Buddhism that began in the Southern and Northern Dynasties was one of the sectarian groups of Chinese Buddhism. It was created using the "Sangha Sutra" as a classic and combining traditional Chinese culture.Zen Buddhism advocates transcending the actual external world, breaking the shackles of dogmatism, emphasizing returning to human nature, truly liberating humanity, and entering the temple of the Buddhist world.Zen aesthetics emphasizes paying attention to and returning to people’s spiritual homeland and establishing the "esthetic ecological person" model.Zen aesthetics also contains abundant ecological thoughts of the harmony between man and nature. From the perspective of the theory of Buddha’s nature,it emphasizes that "all sentient beings are aware of the Buddha nature".Zen Buddhism’s thoughts are embodied in such thoughts as "seeing nature with heart,""seeing nature as a Buddha," "breathing nature with Buddha nature," "purifying nature from nature," and "harmony with integrity".This article will study carefully based on the text,in-depth excavation of the spiritual essence of several Buddhist scriptures, and theoretical explanations of the arguments related to ecological aesthetic thoughts, thus revealing the deep connotation and contemporary value of several important propositions of Zen Buddhism from an ecological aesthetic perspective."All sentient beings are aware of the Buddha nature" advocates taking care of all things with an equal eye.All living beings are not divided into high and low levels in the value of existence, and there is no superiority that only I admire. This is an ecological aesthetic view that transcends anthropocentrism.Zen Buddhism uses the intuitive thinking mode of "Zen Wu",which is itself an ecologically aware way of focusing on integrity and life.Zen considers "circle and harmony" as its highest aesthetic realm, based on the ecological and aesthetic perspective of the unity of subject and object, and constructs an ecological blending mode and a harmonious environment where people and the world merge into one another. The landscape poets of the Tang Dynasty paid attention to the realm of"brightness and me" and the state of mind without any utilitarian purpose. This is the pure and self-reliance of the poet. The poet’s great spiritual pleasure and indescribable inner freedom are expressed in the poem. This also gave a reference to the natural ecological aesthetic practice. The landscape paintings of the Tang Dynasty used intuitions to comprehend emotions, emphasizing non-persistence on one thing, not persisting on ideas, and reaching the realm of the unity of the mind and the mind and the spirit and the realm of one mind. This is the embodiment of the intuitive aesthetic of Zen Buddhism. The real "realization".The landscape paintings of the Tang Dynasty were influenced by Zen Buddhism thoughts, both in the painting theory and in the practice of writing, and this led to a change in aesthetic taste.Scholars of the Tang dynasty constructed gardens with unique aesthetic pursuits and cosmic philosophies to achieve the fusion of man and the universe and to break the binary opposition model. At the same time, compared to Lao Zhuang’s metaphysical ideas, their respect for Zen’s state of mind has taken a big step toward the inner world. In addition, the simple eco-aesthetic thought contained in Zen Buddhism’s theory of nature makes the intuition thinking of "Zen Buddhism" achieve a very high status in garden aesthetics of the Tang Dynasty, and also has an important influence on the aesthetics of Chinese classical art.Faced with the increasingly serious ecological situation,Zen Buddhism cannot save human ecological crisis, but it can provide some ecological ideas that can be used for reference. The expression of a series of concepts, such as breaking self-centeredness,equality of all things, harmony of phenomena, etc.,in the Buddhist theories of Buddhism in the Tang Dynasty is an interpretation of the spirit of harmony in the concept of "harmony between man and nature" in ancient China, and also provides wisdom for the construction of contemporary ecological civilization. The idea of the simple nature of Zen Buddhism contained the concept of breaking away from "anthropocentrism",which also provided ideas for Western scholars to turn to learn from the wisdom of the East.
