Abstract/Summary:
This study focuses on the story between a Tibetan woman and DV.The story occurred in my hometown,located in the northwest of Yunnan Province Deqin County.Li Weihong is a traditional Tibetan woman,but unlike the other villagers,she is the"activist" in her community.The interaction between her and the villagers,her families,NGO shaped different identities and role of Li Weihong.three identities in different interactive scenes are presented in the second,third and fourth chapters of this article:"Do not work farmer","Grizzled reporter Li ",“Teacher Li".Through the analysis of Li Weigong’s image practice,,the author analyzes that DV is a cheap and convenient tool.It has not only the changed Li Weihong’s life,but also the stimulated and impacted her identity construction;even caused her identity lost.All these interactions and identities,reflected that the villagers have no cognition of the video,and villagers’expectation of the Community Video is not compatible with the concept of Video Project,which leads to the difficulties of Empowerment.
