A Study Of Habermas's Thought Of Social Integration

Social order is the subject of social integration.The goal of social integration is to bring individuals,groups and organizations together so that they can constitute an orderly whole.So the whole society can run and develop smoothly,harmoniously and soundly.Habermas's idea of social integration is derived from his analysis of social integration crisis.The dual structure of "system—lifeworld" is the main framework of Habermas's analysis of the late integration of capitalist society.Habermas advocates that society be seen both as a system and a life world.From the perspective of the participants,society is a symbolic structure of life.which consists of three elements:culture,society and personality.From the observer's perspective,society is a system of economic,political,and other subsystems.Based on the "system--life world" analysis framework,Habermas put forward the concept of "social integration"and "system integration".He pointed out that there are four typical social integration crises:the economic crisis,the crisis of legitimacy at the system level,and the motive crisis in the life world level.Habermas also reveals the root of social integration crisis:the colonization of life world.Habermas envisions the settlement of the social integration crisis caused by the colonization of life world by realizing the rational life world and form a discourse politics.Specifically,through the rationalization of communication behavior,the reconstruction of a reasonable cultural interpretation system.the rationality of communication instead of instrumental rationality of these three aspects to bulid a reasonable life world,to solve the motivation crisis.Thro ugh the realization of discourse democracy,the formation of political areas that can unite the will of the citizens,provide legal sources of legitimacy,and make the law the main force to promote social solidarity.Habermas also envisioned the combination of discourse democracy and constitutional patriotism,thus contributing to the integration of Europe and the world as a whole.Habermas's social integration thought has its profound and unique insights.Further deepening our understanding of advanced capitalist society.In order to save the social integration crisis caused by the colonized of the living world,Habermas put forward the discourse democracy with the core of communicative rationality.This is the great significance to how China can better realize the construction of democracy and the rule of law in society and how to enhance the legitimacy of the Chinese Communist Party.But at the same time,Habermas's social integration thought,due to the excessive emphasis on the social integration function of rationality,and the underestimation of the influence of money and power on modern life,Habermas's social integration ideas inevitably exist in the utopian concept.
