"Fusion"-Explore The Structure Of Thinking And Humanistic Connotations Of Bashu Capriccio Of Daqun Jia

Daqun Jia,who is an influential composer and theorist in Chinese music circles nowadays,is good at using the familiar tones and combining them together by his own unique way,and proposed a "structural analytics" theory based on his many-year work experience.By using this theory in his music composition,he has created several great works with important artistic values and practical significance.The single movement symphony overture "Bashu Capriccio" was created in 1996,and won the national composition competition awards.But up to now,there dre still no experts and scholars who have studied this work.Therefore,this paper mainly studies"Bashu Capriccio".Through analysis on pitch,rhythm,timbre,speed,strength,and musical structure element of this work,the corresponding relationships among the various elements will be investigated and then the structural philosophy will be explored.Moreover,based on this,by integrating the above analysis with the work’s music style and the humanistic connotation,e.g.,Chinese traditional culture,involved in this work together,the relationship between the work body and the innovative concepts will be analyzed.Finally,the creative concept of "fusion",which Daqun Jia is always pursuing in this music career,will be summarized and concluded.
