The Research About Aesthetic Characteristics Of Stage Design Of Sizhou Opera

This paper attempts to research the typical aesthetic characteristics of stage design of Sizhou Opera,by arranging the development course of stage design of Sizhou Opera that expounds theater,costume,makeup,properties,etc.and by comparing with Beijing Opera,Kunqu Opera and Huangmei Opera,as the ways of comparison,induction,deduction of Logic,Aesthetics,Art,field work and document research,in order to enhance the style of stage design of Sizhou Opera and provide the referable prototype for the development of Sizhou Opera in a new century.The produce and evolution of stage design of Sizhou Opera probably experience four gradations:the period of the late Qing Dynasty,the period of Republic China,the period of the War of Resistance against Japan and the period since the founding of New China.The stage design of Sizhou Opera is from simple to complicated,from weak to mature,and forms its own style gradually.The main traditional theaters of Sizhou Opera are the stages of temple.Costume,makeup and properties reflect the characteristics of life-style and flexibility.Compared with the above-mentioned three operas,its typical aesthetic characteristics are localism,compatibility and creativity.Seeing that the former researches of Sizhou Opera were chiefly concerned with the fields of music and dance,hardly concerned stage design.The distinctive research about the aesthetic characteristics of stage design of Sizhou Opera is the innovation of this paper,in order to appraise the artistry and enjoyment objectively,advance the inheritance and development of Sizhou Opera.
