After the victory of Anti-Japanese War,the national government not only received Nanjing film studios and made films,and also received DaHua Theater?GuoMin Theater?ShouDu Theater?XinDu Theater?DaGuangming Theater?the Central Stage and so on.They were first used by the Central Film Service Agent,after back to the original owners in December 1945.The "GuoMin""ShouDu""XinDu""DaHua" four cinemas were famous cinemas in Nanjing,rehearsing noble and beautiful drama and other entertainment to enlighten people knowledge.After the victory of Anti-Japanese war,to avoid vicious competition and carry out reception work smoothly,the four cinemas decided to organize Nanjing Cinema Company piloting a year,because of not registering,the company was renamed the"GuoMin""ShouDu""XinDu""DaHua" cinema joint office after.In regarding to weight loss of wartime and management chaos,the four cinemas counted property and demanded compensation,repaired houses and equipments,revived personnel management,in order to recovery as soon as possible.Four cinemas subordinating to National Theatre Co.Ltd Nanking,Capital Theatre Co.Ltd Nanking and State Theatre Co.Ltd Nanking,the companys modified the articles of association,to make four cinemas' business rules-based,and promote the business development.After the formal resume operation,The priority of "GuoMin""ShouDu""XinDu" "DaHua" four cinemas was to solve the film source problem.The Central Film Service Agent and Nanjing Cinema Company successively took charge of this matter.On November 14,1945,Nanjing CinemaCo mpany signed the piece of contract with the Central Film Service Agent,Central Film Service Agent in charge of the row piece of four cinemas.Later,Nanjing Cinema Company sent Zhang Fuyu as representative inSh anghai,responsible for contact foreign films.Through consultations,Nanji ng Cinema Company gradually signed contracts with eight companies,i ncluding MGM,Paramount,Universal,Warner,Fox,Colombia,RKO,Uni ted artists;the rent of each company was paid directly by the company.The contract signed by Nanjing Cinema Company and the Central Film S ervice Agent no longerrenew it in late February 1946 expires.At this p oint,Nanjing Cine-ma Company finally mastered the row piece right,real ized the freedom of row piece.Since the formal resume operation,the ticket prices of due to factors such as restricted by the authorities and soaring prices,adjusted frequently,but far less than price ratio,caused imbalances.In general,the original business conditions of four cinemas were not ideal,but things have improved afterwards.In 1948 because of the instability,monetary reform,the economic crisis,and the tax burden,special characters no movie tickets,the movie business was difficult.But due to the low fares,attendance of four cinemas was increasing year by year.Comparing the business condition of four cinemas,"GuoMin" "ShouDu"were Inferior to "XinDu" "DaHua".After the victory of Anti-Japanese War,"GuoMin"ShouDu"XinDu"DaH ua "four cinemas showed imported and domestic films.Imported films sti 11 occupied the absolute superiority in the total number of films,but dom estic films accounting for multiple growth year by year,had become the important source of the film.Feature film type involved drama,romance,spy,martial arts films,comedies,horror,the robber,family,society,hist ory and the anti-Japanese war films,literature adaptation films,musical,1 iterature,psychology,adventure,action movies,biopic,western,and so on.Among them,"Spy Number One"," Spring in a Small Town " " Treas ure The Youth " Bathing Beauty "four films as spy,drama,musical,co medy,were representative works and influential at the time.After the victory of Anti-Japanese War,the Nanking government made full use of the film as the art tools most close to the public,in order to realize to control the thoughts of the general public and cultural education,and in the process played cognitive function,education function and aesthetic function,three social functions of film."Transforming social traditions,entertainment is the most useful",the film can in different extent influence the audience's thoughts,to achieve the function of political education.To maintain legitimacy and enhance the promotion of "counter-insurgency",the national government showed the current film in four cinemas,also screened newsreel and slides before the film,in order to achieve the goal of extensive propaganda ideology.Under the limit of the government,the movie ticket prices were relatively low,attendance increased,film was not only a pastime of intellectual class,but also was an important part of the spiritual life of Nanjing residents.Authorities also noticed the film appealing to citizens,then strengthened the inspection of movies and the cinema management to implement the education and management of citizens,the cinemas had become important demonstration sites of the new life movement implemented by the government.
