Objective:(1)To observe the feasibility and efficacy of Transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation and Auricular-plaster therapy for idiopathic tinnitus.(2)To compare the therapeutic effects of auricular-plaster therapy and Transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation on idiopathic tinnitus, and to explore the clinical application value of auricular-plaster therapy.METHODS: The study selected 162 patients with idiopathic tinnitus from March 2018 to January 2019 in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology,Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine,Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and actually completed 158 cases.Random number table method was randomly divided into basic treatment group,Transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation group and auricular-plaster group. All patients underwent routine ENT examination, pure tone audiometry test and tinnitus Matching test, and completed the THI and TEQ scale. The basic treatment group was treated with tinnitus exchange and Sound therapy;the Transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation group was treated with Transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation on the basis of basic treatment;the auricularplaster group was treated with auricular-plaster therapy on the basis of basic treatment. After 5 weeks of treatment, the changes before and after treatment were evaluated by TEQ and THI scales.RESULTS:(1)after 5 weeks of treatment,THI scores in the three groups were lower than before treatment, and there were significant differences in THI scores before and after treatment in each group(P < 0.05).The difference of THI scores between the three groups before and after treatment showed that there was a significant difference between the Transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation group and the basic treatment group(P < 0.05),the auricular-plaster group and the basic treatment group(P < 0.05),and there was no significant difference between the Transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation group and the auricular-plaster group(P > 0.05).After treatment, there were significant differences in THI scores among the three groups(P < 0.05),significant differences between the Transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation group and the basic treatment group(P < 0.05),significant differences between the auricular-plaster group and the basic treatment group(P < 0.05),and no significant differences between the Transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation group and the auricular-plaster group(P > 0.05).(2)The total effective rate was 61.1%,86.2% and 79.2%,respectively,in the basic treatment group,Transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation group and auricular-plaster group, with significant differences among the three groups(P < 0.05).There was a significant difference between the Transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation group and the basic treatment group(P < 0.05),the auricular-plaster group and the basic treatment group(P < 0.05),and there was no significant difference between the Transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation group and the auricular-plaster group(P > 0.05).(3)Logistic regression analysis of relevant factors that may affect the patient's 5-week efficacy. The scores of the group and THI had statistical significance(P<0.05),but the effects of age, gender, tinnitus side, disease duration, tinnitus frequency,syndrome-type in TCM,TEQ score, etc.on the curative effect were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusions:(1)Transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation and auricular-plaster therapy have good curative effect, which can improve the symptoms of patients with idiopathic tinnitus and reduce the THI score of patients.(2)There is no significant difference between the auricular-plaster therapy and the Transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation in the intervention of idiopathic tinnitus. The auricular-plaster therapy has clinical application value because of their simplicity and portability.
